How old were you when you first read yaoi?

I started when I was eleven years old... My girlfriend got addicted when she was twelve. I'm just wondering if that is normal. ( besides the fact we're literally children at that time) ( ̄へ ̄)

I think I was around 16? I read my first "explicit" scenes when I was 14 tho ^^
And unless my sister hid things from me she started at 11 ^^
Most of my fujoshi friends (not on this site) started at around 12.

    You're actually pretty average XD

Trust me I know how you feel. I myself was shocked when I saw so posts where people said the started reading Yaoi at age 9 & stuff....I couldnt believe it. All I kept thinking was....where the parental control over what their kids look at on the internet? I started reading yaoi when I was about 20

I didn't feel addicted. In my case, it was more like I didn't feel anything and simply curious. But a pure child would be traumatic and later questioning themselves,"I can't believe you can do that." ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ

17? My friend lent me a whole box of manga and Fake was in there. Near the bottom. Pretty mild as far as yaoi go, but a brilliant plot and wonderful characters. Still one of my favorites and not just for nostalgia.
