In the first chapter, having read other works by this author, I caught myself screaming "LIAR!" when the doctor said that it was his first time meeting a werecat. Then later learning that he was placed there by the dogs (the government), make me feel sorry for the kiddo. On the other hand, the doctor does prove over and over to be the voice of reason in the dog vs. cat problem.
