This being the second time I've read it, it makes much more sense. I remember the first time I read it, I thought it was just a BDSM themed vampire "romance" but nope. Soooo much more than that, and thank goodness. It's a tad on the cliched side, but it mixes in enough interesting new lore and whatnot that I'm definitely willing to forgive it. This being the second time, all the foreshadowing wasn't lost on me haha. The love quintexicon is dizzying after a while, but it certainly keeps things interesting. Also I only just realized that Shell is at least 8 years older than Eric, whoopsies. That's a weird thought. Are some people actually unclear as to whether Eric survived? What do you think that "special ingredient" in the now three-year-old perfume is? Anyhow, excellent series. I adore all the colours, the eyes especially.
