To me the most frustrating is the fact, that if those two really didn´t break up, akira never would have married and got children and grandchildren. Which means, misaki never would have been born....... its like a twisted story

    Certainly within the confines of their time, place, customs and the prevailing beliefs of their contemporary society. If they had been able to come to arrangements outside of these customs and beliefs, as others have done, then the desired outcomes of Akira's marriage and children would've been met, as well as the loving relationship with Motoharu in the same secrecy with which they had conducted it before, but it would've been very risky.
