For those getting "tired" and "bored" with this...just do what I have started doing. Wait for the volume to come out and get it. It's already on the guam arc so yes, you'd have to wait to catch up. But then you get a bunch all at once and you get that kya feeling back.
I actually stopped reading the online ones right after the guam arc. I just read the monthly comments to get an idea of what's going on while I wait. And since I wait so long, a lot of times I may reread the entire series once I get the new volume. This is still the best manga of it's type that I have read. One of only a select few that I love to read over and over again. I have always loved the pace.
I think a lot of what is giving people the anti-climatic feeling is that we finally got a kiss (or 2) with Ren and Kyoko. But remember, if they hook up now and the manga ends....we'd be disappointed that the ending was rushed. They need to face their demons and wrap up the loose ends

I've tried to do the same thing, but my self control wasn't up to it. However, reading the series in chunks is a good way to go.

    (sorry, long post)

I know right? I bet some of the people complaining that it's dragging on are only saying that because they don't realize that, of course reading monthly chapters is going to feel like a drag! I always read the licensed works in English when the volumes come out and remember of the time when I had to split those chapter readings month by month. But with an actual volume in my hands, it doesn't feel like a drag at all and gives me the same (if not more) squealing and tingling feelings I felt from the earlier volumes. In my opinion, Skip Beat is only getting better and better and I can't wait to see what it has in store for us for when Kyoko and Ren finally face their demons. What I'm scared of right now though is that the publishers will suddenly say they want Skip Beat to finish and rush the ending. I pray that doesn't happen.
