Those placeholders are for stopping those unofficial/not good translation chapters being uploaded so I don't think it's that bad... It may give you a false update but they upload it together with the new update.

Ik what it's for, and it's good if this website would scrape that so ppl would read on either scanlator website or ideally an official translation. By reuploading here they are taking traffic from the scanlators that r doing good translations. No traffic = no ad revenue = translation dropped. For orv it's fine since official one on webtoons almost cought up but some series doesn't have official translations so if a group will drop it, all u will have is a crappy machine translation until it will get an official eng release.
Scanlation groups itself ain't that good since what they're doing is as illegal as this website but at least they're putting some quality work that is oftentime better than official one
