My first Yaoi encounter was back when I was 11 y/o. I was passing by when I saw this classmate holding out a CD. She was teasing this other girl, and daring her to watch the anime in it. I got curious, so I took the CD and said I'll go watch it first.
When I got home that night, I immediately set it up and viewed it on TV. 'Oh, so it's entitled Junjou Romantica. Interesting.' Things were going well until my uncle arrived exactly when Usagi-san kissed Misaki. He sat down beside me and asked, 'Are they gay?' Faced with an unfamiliar situation, I just gave him a nervous laugh in reply. Thankfully, he just left and let me do my thing.
For 6 years and counting, I'm still hooked to Yaoi. It has the touch that I don't feel in boyxgirl romance. The maturity, simplicity and everything else about it.
I believe I have already read a lot of Yaoi manga. However, I have only recently decided to create an account, so I'm backtracking which one's I have already read. I'm continuously frustrated because free time and laziness doesn't seem to be on my side.
