A novel turned manhua staged in the tumultuous ancient chinese era.
Manga - 4 star / novel - 5 stars. I really feel the regret about how the manhua-ga failed to properly transfer the atmosphere of the novel to manga format. I know it's possible and it can work. I've seen it done splendidly in HHYL. That is why I was disappointed in the manga adaptation. She just missed the development of the characters and their mutual love. It was too rushed. And she made everything shallow. What made the novel a masterpiece is it's intricate plot weaving. The character and the story is well-developed. But it failed to translate in the manhua. Made it quite detached and did I said shallow?
Anyway, rereading the novel to start.
Still the whole manga IS LIKE A WORK OF ART. A++ for the artwork! MAN!
