Takanashi Akira’s finally made it out of the boonies and into the big city, ready to start his new life in Tokyo—except his new company seems to have gone bankrupt before he even arrived, and so he’s left with no other choice than to presume upon the good graces of his childhood penpal Chihiro, whom he’s only met once before in his life. Chihiro, now a tall and attractive young man and not the short little sprout Akira remembers, is only too happy to have his best friend living with him as his roommate, and life seems to be going relatively well for Akira in his new ‘position’ as live-in security guard for Chihiro’s apartment—until one day they find themselves assaulted by a pair of unknown men on the street who seem to have been hired to kidnap Chihiro…
