Rusty and amateur [Experience]

I do. Used to. I took classes when I heard someone play "The Entertainer". I stopped going to piano classes when I reached grade three. I can read notes but not as fast as I used to. I can't make my own compositions or do sudden adlibs. But I can play a song easily if I just get a hold of the sheet music or if I see tutorials performing the song.   reply

I've played it for a total of 9 years now! For the first eight years, it was gruesome and difficult and I found myself hating piano more than liking it. My teacher was strict and confined me to classical and I hated that. I recently just quit and it was probably the best choice I've ever made. She had taught me all the basics and techniques. I was about 7 when I went to music school. You know, I was a kid so you can't really decide what you want to do. Back then I thought I want to play the piano and so I did. I've never enjoyed any minute of it. I didn't like things that I played, never practiced by myself either. I played for 4 years and the moved out from my city so I changed school......   1 reply

Gosh, after a while back to practice piano, this feeling can't be replaced by anything when you play by your own fingers hands and legs your favorite pieces and soundtracks from anime like you're there reminiscencing characters, story, feelings all of it it from the music tones ..   reply
