What was your very first anime and manga?

Not to age myself, but my first manga was Fruits Basket. The fourth book had just come out in America. A girl I liked at a camp I spent the summer at lent me the first three and then asked me to buy her the fourth (very clever, this one). And before that I watch Akira on VHS.
