I finally understand why some people express their dissatisfaction about the ending. Hear me out, I do think the ending could be better, but at the same time this ending is also fine. When an ending is "up to interpretation" its considered open ending, not bittersweet. So this one is an open ending. but yeah, the ending could be better. to interpret the ending, all they're saying is that they're still young in their mind, things could change in the future. while Justin said that "we're both straight" and Ian said "I don't love or hate you because you're a girl or boy. Justin is the sky, the forest etc" They only know each other for a year. For them to admit something this intimate, I think the future already set in stone for these two. also, one last thing, who is in their right mind to say "I think I've fallen for you". to your best friend in a serious situation (not in a joking manner). And the friend also respond accordingly and reciprocate. I'm not delusional for thinking this as a confession am I?
AND another last thing. I remember reading this years ago while this is still an ongoing series, thinking that it remind me of "19 Days". Its been years since the last time I've read 19 Days, the waiting time is killing me and when I read it again there's no progression on the real main characters (i say real bc there's He Tian afterward). like their relationship is not going anywhere at all, the story is jumping here and there. Don't get me wrong, I like that series, but as long as the series is still ongoing, I'm not planning to read it again, not yet at least. All wanna say is that, this is undeniably more enjoyable than 19 Days. In term of main characters too, Justin is so silly, dumb, kind and protective. Ian is also protective, caring, smart and always spoil Justin.
AYO IAN'S MOM'S HAIR HAS THE SAME HORNS AS HIM XDXDXD I guess we know where he inherited it from lmao. Also I love this so much aaaaaaa i want more..... 032724c
it's fun and engaging, the boys' antic r funny, and it has surprising depth despite the premise, but it feels directionless sometimes. my biggest gripe is the dialogue; is it an issue of translation? it feels like a narration of their feelings and actions... its more suited for inner dialogue, cuz no one says these things aloud. It's stiff and breaks my enjoyment bc of how bad it is. another thing is the appearance of the mom... like it was so random, no foreshadowing whatsoever. the manhua also lacks buildup and tension.
