Over all a good and realistic story, kinda sad
I already predicted most people would be like "this girl is stupid" etc, but to me compared to all these "good girl" characters she is much more complex and smart, even more than her mother
The thing is, she is a kid who lived her life in her mother's shadow, she clearly loves and admires her mother, but she is a teenager now, obviously she wants to be someone, but feels that everything she is or does is "too mediocre" cuzher mother can never even be compared by a "plain" her,
Think about it, we saw some feel interactions between her and her mother as a true mother and one was her mother mocking her first ever aperance in tv, and the rest is her lying (supporting her to enter the entertainment industry when later is revealed she is jealous)
even when MC seemed to not care, it's obvious later that she does care, actually I think all her personality is a defense mechanism, her life is taken upside-down for her mother's wishes, she is outcasted, she has to move worever is convenient for her mother, hear her mother's affairs etc it's actually common for kids in these situations to "block" all their feelings and pretend not to care
And she does know her friends likes her for who she is, she likes them back, but first her best friend of years confessing is already a uncomfortable thing, this + her hearing her mother's great lovers, 10 years younger, a actor, a pianist, etc. she is comparing herself, "is this boy who I don't even like, all my worth?" she actually wants to be in love, be excited (what is normal her age), she was totally right in say she deserved more, she deserves to be with someone she wants to be, the thing is that she is really insecure about herself, she thinks she will never find anyone better than the man her mother has (again her mother is the pick of everything for her, of course she a "no-one" wouldn't find someone as good) and because he is her mother's boyfriend she start trying to find "what is so good about him" (soon she as a teenager fall for this pretty mysterious college boy, who plays piano, can you blame her?) But remember she just made a move in a altered state of mind were when she finally tries something she wants to do, and thinks someone realized her worth, just for everything be about her mother again, and remember he was not her immediate choice, she goes to her friend who just blamed her and reinforce her mother's career (her friends had her own problems going on, as well as her, and none of them paid deeply attention to each other's at the time) so she goes home and there is a person who reinforced again that compared to her mother she is not even worthy of being looked at, this is why she have a break down, she was a teenager who just wanted to be seen, and she had to literally be in pain for it
Now the one who first did it to hurt her mother was the boy (also in a pretty bad state) while in that both of them saw they had more in common than they thought and most probably were the only one who could understand being in this great actress shadow
Her mother was a solo mother in her 20, with a tiring career, but it's obvious that her career and enjoyment was priorities over her daughter, I think she tried her best but could help feeling hate towards her daughter, she isn't just a narcissistic mother, she is a actress, her youth is EVERYTHING, she is insecure, cuz her career is insecure
This is what led to their fight but this by no mean says they are stupid, they are people in a very difficult situation that had a fight,
The mother got the treatment that she needed in the hospital,
MC after that fight felt better, cuz this is what happens when you acknowledge your feelings that were bottled up, she can finally work them and move on, try again etc, not cuz she wants to be like her mother but because she wanted to be herself and do want she wants to do
The boy, got inspired by her to try not because he is obligated to but because he wants it, and I think he going to the hospital ask for money showed a immense growth, as he leaved his pride that was already hurt aside so he could do what he wanted to do
And her mother saying "I just wanted to be told "I love you"" shows well her feelings, instead of loving each other they just made themselves more lonely.
How can you say this was not a 5 star?

I read it 4 yrs ago I was young but still thought how much idiot is this girl is , even now I m thinking is there no more guyz out there tht u want to be with why this aashole

This was...interesting. Once again, this author has a superb ability to convey the darkest of emotions in such a clean way. It's very curious; the art isn't particularly hard or convoluted, but all of her stories seem to convey it so well.
