Dropping series. Concept is fine, but execution is awkward because it feels like the author is following a linear "how to write a story" guide without any twists. Linear plot lines aren't bad, but this one feels empty. It's like
1. Introduce main lead
2. Introduce faults of main lead
3. Introduce main lead's trauma
4. Set up redemption scenario

There's no real substance since most of the characters are bland and they were designed to be like that from the get-go.
