It's a beautiful story, yes there is a age gap but it's one of those stories that the age of MC and ML makes sense and serves a purpose, the story wouldn't be as beautiful if she was a grown adult and still in that situation, I really feel that thanks to she still being a child she could experience a happy time as a teenager and kid before becoming a woman (like going to school, learn about the world, have the opportunity to be court by a guy her age) and I think ML giving her all the chances so she could chose for herself, not as a child in debt with him but as a studied woman and respect her choice is a thing that just a grown adult could do, in that sense a grown woman acting as innocently and full of love as she does after a life like that doesn't make sense she would have been pass the age of going back to a healthy person, and learn how to make decisions for herself, now a kid still has much to learn, so she can still learn it in the right time in a healthy way And again a younger ML being "the great businessman" would really be less believable, his age was perfect for him being a adult but still having things to grow up with her, still not be married, having a reputation, etc I personally think he is one more trash with a sad childhood, who changed for mc BUT if she was a good guy the setting wouldn't make sense, and he would have much more a paternal role (that the butler exerced in the story) than "benefactor" And the settings being historical just wrapped everything together It was a beautiful story with lovely characters and side characters
I don't even recall if I've ever liked, or perhaps even loathed, this series. Given that, I guess it wasn't exactly an impressive enough tale but neither was it another "Endride" (now THAT was the very definition of 'abomination' ).
"I am not a human, but a doll... Feelings are not needed. Physically alive, but not mentally. I am a painting trapped inside rusted frame. The cold skin of a statue. Like a stuffed bird- killed and set for display I wonder... I wonder on whose display I will be put on..."
I really enjoyed this which was unexpected. The characters were interesting and the plot was well done, the only thing that was missing was a deeper character development- there was some character development but it wasn't enough to fully understand the characters
And again a younger ML being "the great businessman" would really be less believable, his age was perfect for him being a adult but still having things to grow up with her, still not be married, having a reputation, etc
