A clumsy romantically inexperienced teenage girl, Asahina Wakaba, is the most hated girl at her school. Wakaba gets bullied into asking out the school’s biggest Otaku, Iruma Haruto. However, this changed her pitch-black high school years into the ultimate young-love experience.

This was a really weird story. Concept would be interesting, but everything was just so confusing. Like how people would react to her lying, how she couldn’t deal with the stress so she forgot she was being bullied and the overall personalities of all the characters. It wasn’t bad per say, but it wasn’t a good read. Everything just felt lukewarm. There was so much material and potential to cover, real opportunities to dive dealer into the characters and the story, but nothing was three dimensional. I know this is strange, but this story made me so upset that I dissociated so hard I needed to read something else to draw me back intonations reality. Most of the story could’ve been cut in half because of all the useless chasing. I liked the guy (to an extent), the girl frustrates me too much and the other characters all share the same role, replace their names with all the same name and tell me the story without the images and I could never for the life of me tell which would be which.

Read if you want to. It’s really not as bad or frustrating as I’m making it out to be, but it’s flat. Read it if you’re bored or if you have nothing else to read.
