I love it!! I'm a fan of full happy endings for the main couples but dying together is not that bad, it would've been out of place if the ending was rainbow and sunshine considering how dark the story was. This was a fast cool reading, sometimes confusing but nothing too deep, I must say that I hate female leads like Oboro, dumb, slow and weak who cannot protect themselves and let everyone play with her but well, it's not like both main chara appeared too much, I also got mad that she threw everything for him but he was ready to left with the other woman But the ending was great, him giving her clan the victory and letting the sea take them was...wow

So it's a different take on Romeo and Juliet

My cherished romeo and juliet story ninja-style. Around mid-2000s I was hyped when it was announced that it was going to have an anime but was disappointed that the art failed to properly translate from the manga. Normally, I ran away from tragic mangas like this like a plague but the drama is so good and so painful I still fell inlove.

I see comments saying this manga was confusing or hard to grasp but it's a pretty simple story to grab hold of. It seems complicated because of all the names/backstories of each character they introduce (20+ in only a few volumes = tons of information) but don't let your attention be swayed by that. Just understand that at the start of the story the two clans Kouga and Iga that warred for 1000 years and were forced to form a truce are now given free reign to fight again. Now these clans seemed to be getting on fine and two ninjas (one from each clan) were in love and were scheduled to be married a few days after the truce ended up being dissolved. So the whole story is following how the relationship between the two clans (and by proxy, the lovers) dissolves over the course of a couple of days simply because of the war-mongering nature of the ninja. It's pretty interesting to read and the action scenes -of which there are many- are well drawn.

read some of it but realized i wasn't in the mood for this type of manwha. Its probably a good read but it was confusing making sense of it at first.
