19/4/2024 Its good, i cried a bit. The plot us balanced and it give time for each char to show a bit development before moving on. The pace is good

I... Well, this was kind of a mixed read for me. I like the angst and the ending, but I have gotten used to reading "mature" mangas. There is nothing inherently bad about it, but confused-teenager-feelings isn't really my cup of tea.

it was pretty good at the beginning, Hayato is introduced as a very human character, he acts fast as soon as he saws someone in danger and then he is just so accepting and understanding toward Souma because he has regrets and wishes to do better, but then the author fucks it up with the climax and creates this unnecesary angst that makes Souma look like an annoyingly insecure and petty guy and Hayato like a desperate fool.

Ah this was actually kinda relatable as well. Kinda reminded me a bit of my own past.. The person liking first and the partner falling harder. A lot of sensitive topics were discussed here and handled quite well as well for most past. I mean, Hayato should've apologized much sooner to Nobararo instead of waiting for once in a lifetime chance to meet up.

ch 13. stopped here cuz i was getting bored. mehhh... it wasn't that tragic. but ig it's wrong to compare to my standards, cuz i was just reading dark yaoi incest just before and wasn't fazed. nevertheless, the characterization is really good. this isn't my first story with a protagonist trying to survive in a homophobic world.but i particularly like how the mc's actions weren't justified, but presented as they were: self-serving and scummy. all in all, the trauma of driving ur friend to suicide, and ignoring his bullying is portrayed realistically here.

Very realistic and portrays the characters' thoughts both Beauty and painfully well. very twisted emotions about it all and I love how they all felt that confusion. my mind when I first started to realise I also liked girls was like that for years. both in denial and confusion. ngl it still kind of is. and that's why I loved to see it expressed in a manga.
the only bad thing was the sexual harassment from souma...like no matter what you've been through that's never an excuse, and don't say anything about not being able to "control it"...anyways, in spite of that, which I choose to ignore, I loved the story and the accurate representation of the mind and actions.

On a hot summer afernoon, Hayato meets the new transfer student name Souma, who has not been able to adapt to the new environment. Hayato always manages to be in Souma's sight, and thinks he will be able to take care of him. The familiar touch allows Souma to familiarize with the environment, until he's able to smile once more. All the while Hayato tries to fix things from his past.
