Anxiety, grounded feeling, atmospheric, high schoolers, theatre,
Last read ch 17.
Wow. This is hitting me in places I wasnt expecting. MC has a very distinct anxiety that's so far (on ch 11) been portrayed very well. It's not that he CANT talk to people, it's that it feels unnatural to him. There's a constant discomfort and nagging in his head that the interaction is going badly. There's that relief when it ends and he foesnt have to put on the act. It's the way he avoids his old friends who very obviously like him and still want to be friends with him to the point that they applied to his high school even tho it was beyond their ability.
So much about this is good. Every character gets at least one moment where it's clear they have some hang up about something, even if it's not the main focus of the story.
I'm really compelled by this character and I want to see what becomes of him. And I hope the story addresses the real anxiety it just dropped on us that he's joined a club where he might really be the only member left in just a few months as his senpai move on.
Oniwa Asahi's just starting his high-school life, and he's decided it's time to turn over a new leaf and learn how to make friends and get to know those around him. How does someone who's terrible at interacting with other people go about doing that, though? Turns out, it's as easy as joining the Theatre Club and its quirky cast of characters, including the captain Imari, who seems to have his own issues opening up to others.
