the relationships really didn't get to me. and that bromance tag is a scam, it's more brotherly love than bromance smh. basically those shadows altered their heir's memories in return they're trapped in the mortal world. kagetsuki are those who got greedy over power and tend to devour the warmth of their owners (the ones they possessed) just so they can rise upon the ranks. chronos is the king and he ate put some ball of light in his chest just so he can save io. (i felt like a light shadow can be a bigger plot device but somehow the author just put the bond route for those chosen kids) apparently io is the key for everything. all he need to do is hug his brother haru who is the leader of kagetsuki (uranus the rival shadow of chronos) that he forgot after he went to his adopted family. (he just forgave him at the end even after killing innocent people bruh what a shit ending, weak mc and scattered plot)
While I do love it, it could have been a lot better. I'm surprised its tagged as a josei because of the leaps in logic we're all supposed to ignore, I'd think its better suited to a younger audience.
I'm not satisfied with the resolution at all. It is way too positive, this coming from someone who doesn't like tragedies. Haru still knowingly killed people and faces no consequence, and there are other parts too that make no sense, like parts of the story were cut out.
I'm giving it a five stars because the premise was very well thought out, and I did like the story and the art, but it could have been way better.
Uh... Good concept, but they kind of botched it with the non-nonsensical shadows, especially Chronos... So why stalk Io everyday? Just out of everyone. And the others just randomly picking those on the plane... Eh... Might just be me, but could've done a little better. And Haru could've been a better villain.
