Oh god I love the thrillers but I think completely unhinged Carnby might be my favourite. I love this. It’s the perfect amounts of dark and funny blended in such an interesting world. And it’s a Carnby solo work so we get all the stupid jokes and pannels too

On ch 20

Ch recap from ch 20, the detective doesnt like knowing that the red caped vigilante is using forbidden spells to get justice against evil ppl. Yes those ppl were very bad, but the fact that someone with powerful illegal spells is out there is making law enforcement nervous. Detective gave a very good point.
He didnt know at the time that he was giving an example to the main vigilante at the convenience store, if someone unfortunate did succumb to a bad ending, u don't know their entire life to see who led that person's downfall. Bc just focusing on the most recent bad experience doesnt mean it is always the factor that caused that person's death. It could be from a previous event or other ppl farther back in the past that led the person to death. Detective is saying who is to blame when there are so many factors at play. He doesn't like how the vigilante is jumping to conclusions without getting all the facts.
Bc main thought the exbf of a girl caused the girl's suicide. But police saw video footage that someone else murdered the girl, but of course that murderer was influenced by the exbf's usb found on the floor at a public location that the murderer picked up, watched scandalous video of the girl, and then stalked her and it led to her death. So really the exbf was scum but by assuming it was the exbf and closing a case, it would have ignored the other player, the murderer, and he goes free. Thanks to the police and they checked video evidence from the building security cameras and the crime scene evidence that they were able to catch the actual killer.
Main thought he was doing good by getting rid of exbf but he was very sour when he missed the murderer angle completely and couldn't dispute the detectives.

Pretty heavy on life topics and ppl's sad lives to their downfall

Forgot about this webtoon for a good 3 years, so that should tell you something. However, I do remember being entertained by certain aspects. Will reread it.
