I read this in light of the anime adaptation being announced, and I cannot praise this enough. Despite its brevity, this story brought me to tears by the end, and everything is just... amazing. The art style, although "simple", adds an undeniable extra layer of impact. the main character's innocence throughout the whole ordeal is what kept her alive, and seeing it deteriorate throughout the story is difficult. the author's note at the end also adds another layer of sadness, putting things into another perspective. as they said, everyone has a different opinion of war. but this story, although haunting, is beautiful. i would recommend this to anyone who can handle graphic content, as there is a lot of it. incredible
Everyone dies so freakin fast I didn't get to shed a tear!(༎ ෴ ༎) you guys! I recommend reading it with nightjar by cemeteries or any of his songs! It certainly gives the vibes!
