I'm on vol 2 Ch 10 rn. It just feels like the Mc is a dumb pushover whose good with cats. Idk.

Last read ch 21. College guy who can see cats winds up working at a coffee shop with cats (not a cat cafe, the owner insists) in exchange for room and board I guess.

Update ch 21. I dunno man. For a story about a guy who sees cats as people and can interact with them... the cats have barely had a role in this story at all. We already have a bloated cast and we barely spend any time with any of them. Also M'lady is barely in this story at all.

Tbh, not really sure what this manga is trying to say. Everything feels... directionless. That's not a BAD thing since it's a slice of life, but we're also just... not exploring the characters or their dynamics much. Every chapter feels rushed?

In shock after failing his college entrance exams, Nishikori Kon took his pet cat M’lady and fled. He ended up going from Kyoto to Mount Hakodate in Hokkaido. At his wits end, he was picked up by a young man named Tachikawa Ayakane, who hired him on the spot to work at his and his brother’s café (though his older brother hates the word ‘café’) “Coffee & Cat.” It turns out Ayakane was so impressed with Kon’s pet cat’s appearance that he wanted him to get the 5 unkempt cats of the establishment in order. Now Kon serves all the cats, but he has a secret that the brothers don’t know anout. Kon can actually see cats as human beings and understand their speech! Kon and his pet cat’s new lifestyle is just beginning!

Nice concept , but they made it , boring

Ch9 Slightly boring

that's hilarious. i can totally relate to how 'tennen'en the mc could be. the way he poured that coffee and how he don't waste even an inch in a teabag is relatable. i hate bitter things too. somehow i felt bad for him not being able to go back to his grandpa because he failed the exams but i'm more curious on what is milady's origin. the brothers are all boring, except they're chaotic at times. though i'm not really a fan. i just wished each sibling is fleshed out properly
the start is good though
