I adore the artwork, it's incredibly beautiful and soothing to look at. The style gives off a delightful Ghibli vibe. What captivates me the most is the storytelling – the author's ability to intricately weave everything together. It's intriguing how a sense of anticipation and excitement coexist. The heartwarming moments, the intense emotions, and the nostalgia for someone unknown. It's truly amazing how such a brief story can evoke such a range of emotions. Hopefully, I'll stumble upon another treasure like this soon. I just know that this one will hold a special place in my heart for a long time.

Amish boy goes out to real world and is homeless. Successful lawyer takes him in and gives him a job, an education and home. Love gradually blossoms. Having lived in Amish country and East Coast before, I feel the genuine spirit of this story. Eyes even got moist when they reunited.

So I came here after reading Theo and Oz's story and as usual I can't help but post a comment because it's so worth it!!!
First of all I totally get the comments saying they don't have to break up and they should've still communicate after separating. I somehow think of that too but...
We shouldn't forget the reason why he had to let go of Gene.
From the very start we already know that Gene is someone who want to know the world, I mean he's someone who love's to explore and know a lot of things. He's much of a dreamer compared to Theo. So it's not even a surprise if he wanted to go to different places. Trevor as someone who already knows Gene knew this also. He knows that Gene will stay with him. He'll choose him and give up whatever dream he have. So he did what he's able to do. Let him go. It's a selfless love.
He was already successful, he has his own house and he even reunited with his family later on. But he knows Gene is still young and he just started going to college. Aside from that he never like... venture to the world. Do things on his own, chase his dream or experience the things normal people does in his age. So Trevor wanted him to have that.
That's how much he loves him. I don't feel sad when they separated maybe because I knew they're both intention is good. And also they broke up pretty nicely. That's when we see the nature of their relationship. It was perfectly healthy though it may be hard to understand why they have to broke up but in reality it's good having a partner like that where he priorities your future than his own desires.
In reality not every relationship ends up like Theo and Oz where you can leave everything and just go with that person wherever he'll go. It doesn't always work that way. Life is harsher. You struggle with a lot of things specially financially, that's the truth. You can't always say it's fine if we're not financially stable as long as we have each other.
I love you and you love me that's enough. That's all we need. No. I'm telling you no. Wake up. We're not some Disney princesses who has a prince that will always save us and we don't have to struggle because he has a castle. No.
So it's good if your partner will guide you like this and think about your own sake or future. Trevor and Gene might not have financial problem since he's a lawyer and Gene has a part time or something but still... Trevor wanted him to be independent and explore coz that's what Gene always wanted. And I might agree with others at some point when they said that without the nephew will they even meet each other again? But in the first place Gene planned to return to NY. So I'm sure he wanted to meet Trevor again. He just didn't know how to. Or how to approach him. I mean he's even confused how they're relationship would go forward when they meet again.

It made me laugh and absolutely cry my eyeballs out, it's one of my favorites now

this is one of the BEST manga I've read ina long while, I'm crying with joy because it has made my heart so warm and with a fuzzy felling. I just loved it and will recommend it to everyone else. Get in for a lot of love and healthy relationships!
