It's really difficult to rate this manga. It starts off really interesting and very promising, turns into a silly and childish piece, almost like a sitcom, and becomes a pretty good story around the last third with a highly emotional and frantic finale with a rather disappointing, because very predictable, ending and a fairy tale like resolution. In other words it's another missed opportunity for a great work. Still, I like the main story idea, the character development is mostly satisfying, the characters themselves are likeable and there are many moments which made me reflect on things and occasionally even to shed a tear or two. It's definitely worth reading if you can endure the flaws. There are simply too many unnecessary distractions, utterly stupid decisions and annoying jokes. I'm struggling whether it's worth three or four stars for me. But since I definitely plan on rereading the story in the future, it's more like four. And so this is my rating for the moment.
