I love it but also the female lead is so cringe sometimes.

One of the best comics I've read, it's complex, original, the mc is actually a strong lead that wants to be a leader to her people and not just someone's lover, it has sad and hard moments, but that only adds to the story, people have flaws, I think it's very underrated, especially with how good the art is

boring, emperor sucks ass, FL is way too forgiving of him and his sister, free the ML from the shackles of this shittass FL and 2ndML. ML is too fine for this garbo

The good: the art, character designs, general premise, the relationship having a lot of sexual tension and sex literally before any label on the relationship which is SUPER RARE in non-nsfw hetero stuff bc society looks down on female sexuality outside of an exclusive relationship, and in manhuas in general the sexual aspect normally happens at the end only. So this was def rare and unusual for a manhua
THE BAD:
It was good but gradually becomes nonsensical in recent chapters. She rejects the ml and is all no!! I have a duty to my people and country, I must stay with the evil tyrant, and hope he lets me go back to my country! I won’t go with u to escape!! (She is constantly blushing around said evil tyrant who alrdy murdered her once and is holding her hostage). Then when the ml has some self fucking respect and leaves her she’s all tearful and chasing after him and searching for him like nooo don’t be upset ur mine!!! I like u!!! Open the door!!! Honestly it sucks cuz she definitely expects him to always be there for her, but lol why should he? She hasn’t chosen him??? She outright chose not to be with him on the off-chance whim that the tyrant maybe could let her rule “her country” in the future??? Earlier in the manhwa it was definitely not the time to leave (and also not a good idea bc ml’s motives and feelings weren’t clear), but when she genuinely could leave and had a genuine established relationship with the ml, she decided not to bc she wants to rule “her country”.
But this girl is a TRANSMIGRATOR. She was in “her country” for a couple of days, never met anyone outside of key ppl in the palace, didn’t give a shit until now. The story just doesn’t make sense and it’s like they manufactured it to give them some relationship obstacles by changing both their characters. Honestly idk it’s getting annoying. Her behaviour would make sense if she WAS Yumi but she’s literally not ???

I feel sorry for the ml tbh I feel like she’s sort of stringing him along. It’s getting better in that sense in the more recent chs (they have reconciled etc) but imo the author doesn’t write politics super well so it’s just a bit boring when the majority of the story is all half baked political drama
