You have to throw common sense out the window to read this story peacefully... a) a little weird how everyone immediately falls in love with coffee without having any gastric or anxiety issues. Also, everyone seems to love the taste... b) i hate it when the mc tries so hard to be modern in a historic timeline, eg, she doesn't allow nobles to send servants to wait in line. Who does she think they are?? Even more surprising is nobles actually complying. And after all this mc goes to kiss the emperors a**. c) she's so smart, intelligent, resourceful, has pride and dignity in herself but it all goes out the window when it comes to the ml? This is literally a 'hes a red flag but i can change him' type of situation. Luckily he's only misunderstood but girl, if anyone really acts the way ml did, mc has to be mentally ill to have good feelings for him...
I think the story is decent and light hearted. No love rival. It's kinda weird that considering how gramps and duke love the little brother but the duke didn't know his suffering for 9 years, and gramps knew all about it but didn't assert his problem (only encouraged the little brother to eat), but gramps was so quick to took FL side when she was in trouble. Beth was also not that much of a challenge. She opened coffee shop but she has no idea how to create her own recipes and only copying FL recipes. FL is well accepted in high society. Beth showed interest in Duke but she wasn't in love so she wasn't annoyingly clingy to duke or whatsoever. But this is easy to read and not put the reader in any particular psychology burden
