finished this was pretty decent, but there was so much build up for a mediocre final battle. merlin’s very very strong on his own with just his telekinesis, and now that he has a weapon the amplifies his powers he should be insanely op. even so, the final battle was very anticlimactic and didn’t even show off merlin’s full unleashed potential. it seemed like the author really rushed the ending too. i feel like nothing was truly resolved. there is no demon king, the story doesn’t show them overthrowing the human king, everyone was leaving the demon king’s castle, merlin’s brother won’t wake up (????), AND PYROS DEAD. like wasn’t the whole point of the story that merlin was doing everything for his brother… why did the author just end the story without him every waking up? also, i loved pyro and merlin’s (or the demon kings) dynamic and i wish they gave his death justice? idk anything (or just not killed him off to begin with) like even a scene where merlin finds out he’s dead and shows some emotion other than “i’ll visit his grave”. and they didn’t even show cecil’s alleged death??? i really wanted the demons to accept merlin as the new demon lord, which also didn’t happen. there are too many questions left unanswered.
Past the grey desert and across the ocean lay the demon lands. Bloodthirsty and savage, they've waged war with the humans since anyone can remember. And seated on his throne, behind castle walls and royal guards, sits the demon king. At least, that's what everyone thinks. And if Merlin ever wants to see his brother again, he'd better make sure everyone goes on believing he's the demon king. Otherwise, who knows what the demons'll do if they realize a human has been masquerading as their king?
WHAT THE HECK WITH THIS ENDING?! God, it was unbearable the moment those human prisoners break loose.. ffs, I love merlin & pyros relationship so much but goddamn it he just die like that.. it took a long time to build up that last fight but just a second later it’s all done and gone. Nasir & Merlin are the only one that keeps me sane here, everyone else is either hooligan or just straight up stupid
Honestly, the start was good, soooo so good. But they rushed the ending. SPOILER . . . . . I waited and waited for Noah to come back and that’s it? At first they made it like he was some important character so I thought they would work a lot on his character’s development, but that’s it?? I’m think they haven’t even explained clearly why Noah’s attitude changed when he used his power. Also, Idk if I missed it or sth but why Pyros’s mom died wasn’t explained, and there not much about the Demon King except for the fact that he’s scared of height.
Pyros! He’s good. Just a shame he died. His wing finally started to grow, and he was making his first step trying to befriend the other demons TTTTTTTT And when MC decided to sacrifice himself dor Pyros too, bro what about ur brother???
And Tina, I was hoping for the scene where she is in the human town with the other boy (and his sister), but it just ended.
The scientist demon Bahn, there was a chapter he got a pat from MC and felt happy, I thought they would work on his feelings too but jeez…
And the king too… Put him in jail or sth omg…
Anw, I thought the ending was, the MC standing between two sides (cuz it was mentioned so many times that he didn’t want to let any side die), and maybe will do sth to the relationship between the two races, but nvm Well, at least the art was awesome, the comedy was good and characters’ designs were great too… hope there will be s2 or sth to fix this… Pyrossss
