from start to finish cried my eyes out. the girl has a blood condition i think and has been looking for a marrow doner for 10 years and finally she recovered the boy has a heart disease but has only a year left to live. the two of them have known each other since they were young coz they were both really sick. the boy likes the girl, the girl likes the surgeon that saved her life with the bone marrow transplant.
It really is heart wrenching at parts where it's so sad and makes you feel helpless. the story ends on a happy note where they celebrated the boys birthday...
SUMMARY: For ten years she has lived in the hospital, writing the things she wished she could do in a notebook. Now, her condition conquered, the wishes in her notebook can become reality, but can she find a way to reconnect with people after learning to isolate herself so as to not cause them pain?
7 chaps - TISSUE ALERT: A well drawn, well done, emotionaly touching story about dealing with critical illness sprinkled liberally with fun and just a touch of childish nonsense. Wish it was longer as it had a 'The End', but it left me with a bit of a unfinished sense to it.
I love the fact that this manga is different from all the rest. The main character having a goal that they want to work up to, many manga's have those, but the fact that the creator put together a story of a girl without that much sympathy (hard to come by in manga) and had the character come up with their own way of making things interesting. I appreciate such things. Make sure to..............NEVER GIVE UP!
