I had a hard time finish reading this, FL has a crack on the head how could she fall just like that?! They barely even talk! There's a lot of reason on why's the ML is a trash. Geez. Paint him up as the ultimate arrogant, smart-ass playboy, so you can then reveal that he's actually the philanthropic, empathetic, monogamous saint of the ages. I could almost stand that if he wasn't such a liar. He kept promising that he'd remain professional, and then repeatedly broke that promise, usually over her protests. He'd always find an excuse ("You were snooping into my private affairs" or some such thing) which makes it perfectly fine for him to go back on his word. This cheap-ass line of reasoning, rationalization, or whatever makes him a completely untrustworthy human being. He "always keeps his word," as long as he's not tempted to break it. Barf.
