And we have it again: My beloved wife died, so I will abandon my daughter with the surrogate mother for 2 months at which time I will return because I'll be as horny as a billy goat on viagra and Spanish fly. Sorry to be such a curmudgeon, but this doesn't sound like a stellar father or husband to me. In fact, he doesn’t sound like much of a man.
Hmm... I'd say it's a more realistic story, but not a very entertaining one. FL was the surrogate for ML and his wife, her best friend, but ML's wife died and now FL is taking care of the baby. FL already has 2 kids but is a single mom bc her partner abandoned her. ML just kind of didn't show up for like 2-3 months, leaving the baby with an overworked single mom (kind of an asshole thing to do when you're an incredibly rich CEO and the FL is a single mom with a normal job). FL likes ML but she recognizes it's her dead friend's husband and doesn't want to cross the line, and she also doesn't want to be abandoned again. The story is fine, it's just not super entertaining. There's no abusive relationships but the only thing I see in common with FL and ML is that they're physically attracted to each other. But they don't look to share any interests or anything.
