To be clear: There's a transfer student named Udagawa (ML). Udagawa(ML) and Inami (MC) were former classmate with an incident history. Inami(MC) likes Maru (his friend since middle school). But Maru likes Yoshimura(girl). When Inami(MC) remembered the incident, he told Udagawa(ML) that he'll keep quiet about it if he tries to act friendly with Yoshimura(girl, who maru likes);circulating dating rumours (which is untrue). So Maru, cries about it. Inami gets this chance to comfort Maru hoping he'll get a chance(?).

MC been in love with Maru for such a long time. Like years. How could he just jump from one love to another so quickly? Like in the span of a couple of days? There's really no build up to this new romance. It's really seem like a rebound.
