I love the art style of Okuda Waku. The story is really interesting too. It's like that movie 50 First Dates but MILLION TIMES BETTER!!! Also does it count as cheating if has this memory issue and his wife only married him to take care of him? The way I see it the marriage is more like a sort of treatment plan to look after his mental health. There's no romantic obligation between Michio and Akari so I don't see it as an infidelity. Marriage can be something other than love and the way I see it their marriage is more of a patient and his nurse than a romantic relationship. That's just my opinion anyway.
Last read ch 6. This is... painful. MC has anterograde amnesia meaning he cant create new memories. In other words, he wakes up every morning stuck at 21 even as the world around him has aged 8 years. He has to grapple with the fact that he's married to a woman hes never met while still being in love with his friend from high school. Hes having an affair with this friend, and it's so complicated. It's hard for me to really judge any of these characters actions bc of how complicated amnesia is.
At the very least, I appreciate that the story is approaching his amnesia from a clinical perspective not the bs magic amnesia crap that most stories do. And its addressing or at least acknowledging the complicated feelings and relationships that result from a condition like this.
I'm curious how things will turn out, but in a kinda morbid way. Like a trainwreck. Or a moth drawn into a fire. I am gonna be in so much pain reading this, arent I?
this is in my opinion morally ambiguous. on the one hand he is married, but also he doesn't know her, and he likely never will as he can't create new memories. to me, it seems like he pushes the responsibility on to tomorrow's version of himself, and it started when akari showed up and proposed to him, forcing his future versions to just accept it and go along with it. i also highly doubt he wrote that memo himself as there is no way for him to know anything written in it himself, so he likely just wrote down whatever his wife told him. i'm very intrigued by this story, and as always i'm not rating it until it's finished.
this is kinda sad ;; Michio had always had a crush on his friend kyoichi, but at 21 he suffered an accident that prevents him to retain new memories. So when he wakes up every morning he has to come to terms with the fact that's he's now 29 and have a wife despite still loving kyouichi. His days are an eternal loop.
The author make such bad Manga (s) I wish they were good in Makin tension or writing of third person (third person writing is just normal random thoughts don't really add or is important) and the "n" writing never exist which create less tension
