Comments of Hachimitsu no Hana

The time is set during the Industrialization Age in Meiji. The main character Chitose works as a maid in Kuze, one of the most prestigious households of the time. One day, Lan, a nephew of the master came back from England to be his stepson. Eventually Lan and Chitose’s feelings begin to develop. What will happen with the secret affair between the honey-haired Lan and the maid Chitose?

It seems Hachimitsu no Hana is on hiatus. The last release from the author was June 2009. The mangaka has been concentrating on her other series, Kaizoku to Ningyou.

Feels incomplete

The old master and the madam of the prestigious Kuze household couldn't have any children, so they went to England, where the master's brother lived, to adopt their nephew and bring him back as their step-son.
However, the new young master, mixed blood honey-haired Lan, isn't welcome in the best of ways, as everyone is prejudiced against his looks. The only one who approaches him is the maid Chitose, who was asked to take care of him. Not only she does her job diligently, even though she's clumsy, but she's genuinely determined to become friends with the young master and she actually thinks that his hair colour and eyes are beautiful.

It's great manga. It's a shame that it's end. I wish there is more to it

Good manga I like the female lead. The male lead is not my favorite but, overall the story was good :)
