kaya just needs to understand what family is and what family can and can’t do seems he’s been abused and taken advantage of previously so he doesn’t know
It's cute and I love the art but something about her and her "brother" dynamic is just off. Like ik they aren't siblings by blood but it's like mc def has this idea that he is her younger brother. And the constant non consented kisses. It's just off putting
Some people are saying Nasu is probably not end game.. but tbh I'm not so sure. I'm seriously hoping he is! Kaya has an obsession, makes very strategic moves, causes her heart to beat, but her expression is rarely happy about it. She looks genuinely afraid most the time, but she's a weak person who gets barely saved out of most of the situations. He doesn't love her - he's obsessed with her and is forceful and scary. And she's only happy when he's spreading his wings and being different from his usual self. But he's still a dangerous rival because of his persistence and the physical affect of his actions.
The fact Nasu had the courage to actually point out that it's not good for her to spoil him, that Nasu's perspective is treated way more complex than just a jealous one-sided pining, gives me hope. He has the courage to say what's right based on what he knows for a fact (Kaya likes Ran more than a sibling and Ran really wants to dote on him as a cute younger brother), but he feels bad if it hurts her feelings and finds the scenario complicated to freely move in. But he makes SOLID moves here and there and really understands Ran well and helps her grow as a person. And that there are more factors trying to hinder their romance than actively trying to hinder Ran and Kaya gives me a little hope since usually protagonists have to fight for their happiness.
SO PLEASE LET NASU BE END GAME. I might be genuinely shocked if Kaya is end game
why are they so young.. i’m getting too old i used to read mangas by this same mangaka when i was younger than these characters and now it feels illegal cuz im 18
