I have given this author three chances. I’ve concluded all three to be disappointments. This author, they seem to have a thing for animals and humans. “The White King,” and “Mayonaka no Waltz” prove me right. Yet, they fail horribly whilst trying to develop the relationship between the human and creature. “The White King” was the only piece I mildly liked out of the three. “The perfect mix between heartwarming and horror,”..what? This story had failed to do both. It’d be a crime to tag this as horror. No gore. No ghosts. Only diminutive dark concepts about a vulture and a girl.
Imagine falling for your prey... loved it.
