I love all 4 stories. They were separated stories of prostitutes working in brothels and they looked at the inner struggle of finding one man/partner to find love.
The first story is of a young beautiful highly sought who was secretly in love with an attendant to her high-rank customer! She liked him and wanted him to fell for her, however, that system that enslave woman to become sex object to the highest paying man is flawed. A story that shows that your will to choose is taken away from you!
The second story is probably common as we see women who sell their bodies to pay for their families! The woman in question has sacrificed years so that her sickly sister would be able to get medicine. She has forsaken everything that matters to a woman of a good family including her body, her scared and impure body! Can she go back? Can she face society even though her circumstances made her do so? The ending of that story is heartbreaking.. Thank you, she said! Thank you1
The third story is straying from the sad theme to a happier one! Some prostitutes are lucky for find their love in front of their eyes! Nothing dramatic about this!
The fourth and final story explore a notion often forgotten in these type of stories as some of the women might be bought off bu rich men and such that are let go after their service with no prospect of what to do with their lives and whom they are supposed to leaning on to!
