I was scared to read this knowing it's a story that takes in the 50's, but I was glad it has a happy ending. Jim is such a green flag. I love how he respected and understood Sei's situation, even if he got hurt in the end. I'm so relieved Sei followed his heart and Jim towards a new beginning of their lives. Love this story.
04/26/24 ch 6.5 end. Jim x Sei. I actually decently liked it. Such is the setting of this manga. I'm usually not a huge fan of it but ah well, it was fine overall. It's basically just...life lol war stuff ugh PTSD it's rlly painful for the heart
Tell me why I cried when he finally told his mom his feelings it was just so sad the way she said "You'll find happiness" he already found it!!!!! And it was taken away from him!!!! Anyways. I'm so glad we got a good ending! I would've liked to see more about their life in America, but this is fine too.
Overall, 8/10. Somehow while crying I started singing that one tiktok "do you have your passportt?? Did you get ur shots??" anyways this was great. Just 2 lonely people finding each other.
AHHH WTH!!! I was looking for something short and sweet to read but I ended up bursting into tears. This pulled my heart strings! I was so worried at one point if it will end badly but I'm glad they ended up staying together. I wish we could've seen 1-2 more chapters of them living in US and how their lives are after maybe a few decades when gay rights become legalized and it's generally more accepted for them to be themselves. I thought I wouldn't like it due to the seriousness of the topic it was based on but I ended up wanting more and crying so hard with how everything unfolded. Jim is sooo cute agh I'm emotional again I wish them the best!
Idk I feel like bc of the gigantic issues of the war and homophobia and racism somehow the connection between the two characters wasn't convincing enough for me to believe that they'd choose the amount of pain that they'd have to face. Or maybe it was all escapism but then this wouldn't be a love story but a story of running away. I wish they'd showed more of why they actually choose each other cos at this point it just seems like a it just kinda happened and they ended up working out which to me is too meh
abi muazzamdi.. 1950'ler Japonya'sinda calistigi yerde bir amerikan askeriyle tanisan cekici straight ana karakterimizin cok da masum olmayan niyetleriyle asssiri tatli bir sona baglayan kisa bir seri
This was truly beautiful, not as harsh or heart-wrenching as I thought it would (honestly thought I was gonna cry for most of the manga lol). I kind of would have liked more information about the characters, and what they like and dislike. But it was really good nonetheless.
