Chapter 79

Joo Sae-young is a pro gamer in Arcadia Online for 10 years. The game barely has a newbie that the existence itself is treated as rare so when one of her guildmates trying to give Sae-young a newbie that they found, out of excitement she went on shopping spree in-game to spoil the said newbie. On the way to meet the newbie, Sae-young received a message about a quest. She was about to decline the quest but the ground suddenly shook and made her accidentally clicked the accept button.

The quest sent her to another world where everything is real. There, Sae-young met 4 lost adventurers (Dion the warrior, Marianne the mage, Shidibala the thief and Lehman the priest) inside the dungeon that would later become her comrades. She thought she was still inside the game so she went to kill the orc without realizing that the blood would splattered on her. Since it was the first time that Sae-young saw such a gore scene, it made her sick. She did try her best after that to hold back her power but it was useless as she's too powerful, even a graze from her would kill.

Like the quest said, Sae-young had to conquer the dungeon even if it was forbidden. At the boss room after defeating all enemies, she met with Zadkiel the angel who was sealed. Zadkiel told her that this is reality since she still thought it was a game and that supreme god has summoned her to save their world. Hard to swallow the truth, Sae-young had beaten the shit out of the angel and forcefully made him signed a contract and also requested the supreme god to sign as well if he wants her to do the saving.

On her journey, Sae-young accidentally hurt a man (Callad) till he lost his memories and made things complicated. TBC.

If you're the type who thinks women should always be gentle and meek, then this progressive work of art IS NOT for you. The main character here is as real as they come—flawed, with plenty of room to grow, but with a solid foundation that deserves much admiration. I’m all for manhwas that don’t obsess over making their characters flawless. It’s raw, it’s real. Also, many key characters, including the protagonist, exhibit queer identities OR at least challenge traditional roles in a bold way. The author does a stellar job representing these identities without reducing them to mere objects of male desire.
