whatever is happening with the kid is way more freaky than the ghost stories I mean WHAT WAS THE FUCKING HORSE?? I think the distinction between the stories and reality add to the spookiness of it - sure the stories are horrific but they’re just stories, but given that context, what’s happening with the kid is all real. I thought what he was talking to was a camera but based on the description it’s probably a mirror - in which case is he seeing multiple reflections in the mirror hence ‘we’ ‘you guys’ etc
