it's fine i guess... It gets so frustrating towards chapter 30++. At that point theres just little to no wholesome moment, everyone's motive to curse ppl are just ridiculous. Plot with the Marca? Marcia? Whatever kingdom is so slow. Too kind Mc is boring, doesn't really have much personality except for being kind. :(

Tbh it was pretty good, but the mc is too kind-hearted so sometimes pretty annoying bcs he was like a pushover. And theres really evil people here and bit complicated. Will read again when it's completed. 28

oooh...the plot...the characters....the storytelling...fucking exquisite. and i genuinely mean that this time. how good can be a found family in a history / fantasy setting could be? you'd be surprised.

For the love of God please don’t make fanny like the mc. He literally raised her since she was physically like 10 and she’s technically 10 years younger than her physical age. That is a literal child he raised and she saw him as a dad and wanted him to be her dad. What the actual fuck were you trying to say in that one chapter

43 dayummm the plot twists

MC used to be real strong, but suddenly and mysteriously contracts some sort of disease that eats away at his health, to the point where he has to quite being an adventurer and gets his license revoked. He decides to leave town, unable to support himself and being derided cruelly by his previous companions. He comes across an injured monster that isn't actually a monster, and decides healing and breaking the curse on them is worth giving the last of his life for. He gets better, adopts the girl who had been cursed to be a monster and starts traveling with the girl.
This should be fun, it is fun. It's kind of action and slice of life story set in a fantasy adventurer world, with this father-daughter relationship at it's center. I like it, and usually like good guy MC's, but this guy... he's kind of a doormat. He forgives people a little too easily and has a death wish with how easily he's willing to throw his life away, even when he's regained all his strength and power. Like they have 2 of his previous party members be absolute shit heels to him and then one of those guys is immediately forgiven and MC allows him to muscle into his quest like everything is fine. I don't like that. There's a difference between being kind and being a doormat to toxic people treating you like shit. I mean the guy does change his attitude cause MC is strong again, but it pisses me off that there isn't so much as an apology in their first meeting and MC just lets him barge into his life like it ain't no thing. There's a bunch of things I've been curious about since MC found his daughter, but haven't gotten answers even though you'd think MC would have pondered this shit at some point during his journey. It feels like the author is withholding info just to be mysterious, rather than any plot related flow. There are few things I hate more than contrived stories, whether they be mysteries, romances or action.
Anyway, my dislike is largely due to personal preferences, so I would highly encourage anyone to give this story a go, if they feel so inclined. The art is great, the translation good, and there is no harem or forced and annoying romance. Just family feels and lots of cooing over the cute little girl. Sometimes she feels more like a pet than a child with wants and needs, but that's just me.
