the art style is fantastic, I love it. the story seems interesting: when he was still a kid, a modern dude visited an immortal gege and promised him to come back. and now, 10 years later, he actually does.

It's been so good so far!

A child was lost in a forest and met an immortal, who led him back. Turns out that in the real world, he went mssing in his room, and was eventually found out. 10 years later the child became a highschool student, still believing in gods and demons.

One day he suddenly went back to that world, and was chased by a snake monster. He was bitten but thankfully reached the immortal's peak, so the monster dared not enter. He was taken in and tended. Next morning he took the immortal down.

It took them the entire day to traverse down, it was sunset by the time they reach the closest village. He suggested staying here for the night, thus they visited the recently widowed woman. She told them to stay at her child's uncle's house and they offered to light incense towards her husband. He took the opportunity to check on the corpse, discovering that the man was bitten twice before dying. Later, they were led by the child to the abode they'd be staying in.

That night, the snake reappeared, and was temporarily dispelled by the immortal. Just then, people came to the residence, they greeted them before returning to their room to continue their talk. He refused to return to his world, even though immortal can't dispel them completely as he himself created them. The next scene shows of the uncle talking to his sister in law, looking extremely suspicious. Back to the residence, Bai Ze cooked before he and the immortal continued their talk, quite a lot of technical stuff.

The next day, for the sake of their roleplay, Bai Ze named the immortal Tai Yi. They then went to collect info. They helped an old man peel beans, before the 'uncle', magistrate Li, came. Ok, he's REALLY suspicious. After they had tea together, he sent a servant to tail the two. Well, they went to the woman's residence for more information. Came sundown they left with a letter from Li Zhu.
