Watched the anime first and then read the manga. Def one of my faves of all time. Was holding my breath sometimes, and even got tears in my eyes near the end. Altogether 10/10.

First shonen where the protagonist doesn't fuck around with the entire female cast but stays loyal to his wife. W manga and author

started reading this when 4th or 5th ep came out

Top tier. I rated it 4 out of 5 because I felt like it lacked something and it was kind of rushed? But nonetheless I loved it. The characters are all so good and well written, you can't hate anyone. I'm so glad they got their own happy ending, some way in their own way. The thing I love the most about this manga is our boi GABIMARU our loyal and fking green flag MC who stayed true and loyal to his wife all throughout the chapters until the end. I also loved how the mangaka didn't make Gabimaru and Sagiri fall in love but have like a platonic connection with each other. I love it.

EDIT: I didn't expect that this would be so good. There's a lot of mysteries and questions before but it was slowly answered although some of them was a bit complex and hard to understand because of the terminologies from ancient China and Japan. But there is a vocabs on the end of each of the volumes. I didn't like how my precious baby Tenza died much earlier. And it's funny how the #1 rank Asaemon die from just the giant, huhu so funny~ deserved. The ending though, it so calming seeing how each one of them make their brand new life, except the Aza brothers though, they leveled up into a ganster. And Ju Fa became an online tutor, it so funny and satisfying seeing Mei again. I hope the other Tensen sprouts again with a new life as a genuine family. Hope to see a side stories of the future for the Tensen.

Truly a great story. It was intense as it was mellow.
