For 98% of this manga, I was like, Jaekyung was such a waste of a character design. Why must such a hot character be sucba diving in red flags? As with most BL, rape is a prelude to Jaekyung and Dan's relationship. Where the ukes develop feelings (Stockholm syndrome) for the main love interest. Tis the cycle. I don’t make the rules. Luckily all the other supporting characters at the gym made up for Jaekyung’s BS. They made reading this manga bearable. He gave so much PTSD that when Heesung was introduced, I thought he was gonna be just as bad. On top of that, we don’t we even get a crumb of tragic back story or child hood trauma for Jaekyung, so it really seems like he either needs to be in jail or a psych ward. Perhaps both. The only kind of glimpse we get are the weird brief moments of psychosis when someone disrespects him (I’m telling you, an asylum is where he needs to be). Just finished season 1, so I will need to read the whole thing to give my full thoughts but it's not looking good.
I believe in redemption and actually its one of my favorite tropes, but only when done right. However theres a borderline. Jaekyung has crossed that border long ago and I dont think he can redeem himself after that. No matter what pity story the author thinks of, it wont be able to excuse his actions. At the end of the day hes an adult and has to take responsibility for his past, even if hes not at fault. The fact that this manga will also follow the formula of BJ Alex is disgusting, it just shows how sick and broken this authors moral compass is. This is pure fetish content, nothing can excuse the abuse Dan is going through and the worst part is that Jaekyung will be forgiven by Dan and wont have any consciences
was originally going to hate-read this because of how critical people are of it, but if you ignore the constant smut in the beginning it starts to feel pretty intriguing
latest chapters show actual character development, so I'm looking forward to the second season
I cannot read any more of this yall T^T I hate Jaekyung so much its not even funny anymore, idk when I was suppose to be liking him but it's already ch.40 and I'm tired. The only person I like is Dan and I only kept on reading cause of Dan T°T
