Bro...I read the translated novel and it still gets me everytime. It's just sad. I always bad a feeling that the killer was Van. It just seemed sus. The first thing that got to me was when he was "under the weather" and was first to arrive on the island. Before it was unveiled that the killer was indeed van I was confused when the detective was like oh does it stand for Maurice smth but no it was Van Dine. I was like hOld uP and searched a list of the characters and then got it. Bish. It's just so sad for all of them. Idk how Chiori would feel knowing this all happened because of her. Man. It's just sad. I was really rooting for Ellery too. I'm just heartbroken with everything.
My emotional baggage and rant aside, this author's works are great. J haven't read Another's novel before but I did watch the anime. I'll probably read the manga then read the novel soon tho.
i am currently reading the original book and omfg it is so good!!!!! it has links to agatha christie's and then there were none too!! i love this!! BLURB:- the lonely, rockbound island of tsunojima is notorious as the site of a series of bloody unsolved murders. same even say it's haunted. one thing's for sure: it's the perfect destination for the k- university mystery club's trip.
but when the first club member turns up dead, the remaining amateur sieuths realise they will need all of their murder-mystery expertise to get off the island alive.
as the party are picked off one by one, the survivors grow desperate and paranoid, turning on each other. will anyone be able to untangle the murderer's fiendish plan before it's too late?
