Yui Kusanagi is the daughter of a Shinto shrine. She discovers a mysterious sword, which transports her to a different world where she meets the Greek god Zeus. He invites her to attend a school in a separate world that he created. Zeus intends to teach the meaning of love to the various young divine beings who also attend the school, in an attempt to reverse the weakening bond between humans and the gods.
what in the 2021 fuckery is this - honestly i may have liked this if i read it when i was younger but right now it's so predicatble and kinda pointless - like they got the intro 10 ch. to deal with them attending school then one chapter per god, where each god gets a turn throwing a tamper tantrum and she saves them - also that last chapter with baby Zeus WTF i died laughing - also what was the point of her knowing iado, it was never relevant at any point in time except maybe when the sword originally chose her - in the last ch when the palm tree leaf fell out of zeus's pockets and apollo goes "I was born under a palm tree" WTFFFFF HAHHAHHAHAAH I CANT. this is worse than when chracters find out that another chracter truly cares for them by finding a picture of them in the other person's wallet. LIKE WHAT PALM TREE LEAF HAS THIS BITCH BEEN CARRYING FOR 100 years.
Anyways the ending is sad but kinda feels realistic
Everyone, watch the anime; it's way better than the manga honestly. The storyline and the ending was tremendously better in the anime, and the opening and ending songs were worth it! Take my word for it!
Believe it or not, I felt like the anime was better constructed and organized. There was much more conflict and struggles for each God to learn the necessary lesson. Also, the ending in the anime was sooooooo much better. Overall, four stars (anime was five).
Not one for a bitersweet ending myself but I like how it doesn't give you a definite on whether or not she completely forgets. It's an "up to your own interpretation" kind of ending, and I personally appreciate that.
