I think I kinda understood what was going on close to the end the mom didn't want the son to have bad memories and only good because of that he haven't grow up or had body change but he did know he was strong tho

the mother fucked up, every time Masami stuck his hand in fire, she took away the pain and damage, so of course he did it again and again.

I feel sad and bad ut i love this
