MC seems like she’s going through a phase or a hard time and apparently she used to dance but seemingly wants to forget about dance and so she goes to the ocean to throw away her ballet shoes but accidentally ends up hitting a diver in the head who was swimming back to the surface while disposing of the shoes, he gets back her shoes but not for her, for the ocean. He passes out from the injury. Later on MC finds out that the boy goes to her school.
