The slow burn is real
It feels like I’m reading something the author herself has went through because of how long the story was, yk like as if I’m watching their daily lives go by as their love grows
I like how the story included a conflict that involved their parents; I feel like I could understand it rlly well; asian parents against homosexuality, filial piety and all that
their love felt very genuine and like something I want to experience
wished ruoxi would be more open about her thoughts with yilin and not carry all the burden herself
the ending felt rushed, I wish there were more to it after they reunited
first reaction to it was “that’s it?” :(

I feel so empty. The ending was very sad and disappointing. Rouxin is still a helpless little kid who is unable to step up for herself or her feelings. Even contacting Yilian only happens because she coincidentally met an old friend. She put a heavy burden on Yilin and there was zero communication between them.
