"Haesoo looked like the sea, the same sea which Damwoon could no longer enter."
I fucking adored the writing in this. It's essentially just a one-shot so it had one chance to really ace this, and it did. It felt so romantic, the prose and the emotions sprawled out were able to be felt so easily.
Damwoon mistaking a crush for an allergy was something really unique but so cute. The way he mistook his skin burning red and the tinging in his fingers was adorable, I always love when characters are innocently ignorant to their feelings like that, especially when it leads to scenes like the one at the end when Damwoon eventually opens up to Haesoo about his "symptoms."
The art too was something I really enjoyed. It was interesting. The men were so handsome but they weren't drawn in a very conventional manner, they didn't look like the typical BL protagonists. Any BL that looks visually distinct is always great.
Since it's a one-shot, the major downside is obvious: I wish it was longer. But it's good for what is it.
Damwoon's sudden allergy to chlorine forces him to give up his swimming career, but when he develops an allergy to his best friend Haesoo, will he be able to give him up too?
